Ceramic Polishing in Dubai, Abu Dhabi And Al Ain - What Are The Advantages of Ceramic Polishing?
Several studies have been conducted to evaluate the effects of surface treatment on the color and roughness of porcelains. Various types of Ceramic Polishing, such as feldspathic ceramics, ceramic polished liquid and glazed porcelain, have been studied. In this study, surface treatment was applied on porcelains using a diamond polishing system. The effect of polishing on surface roughness and color change was examined and analyzed statistically.
A two-way repeated measure ANOVA was performed to investigate the effects of surface treatment on the color and roughness of porcelains. The results showed that the porcelain groups did not differ significantly from each other. The groups presented intermediate values, which were within the clinically acceptable range. In the groups with diamond tip polishing, the surface roughness was significantly larger than in the control group.
Used as the coupling agent
The groups with occlusal brushes, which had a greater surface roughness, also showed a greater increase in surface roughness than the control group. This increase in roughness increased plaque accumulation and abrasive wear of the opposing dentition. Moreover, the re-glazed group presented a significant color change, which was statistically similar to the control group.
Surface roughness was evaluated using a profilometer. A Tukey post hoc test showed that there was no significant color change between the control and re-glazed groups. The highest value was found in the glazed porcelain group.
The tensio-active agent, polyoxyethylene nonylphenol ether, is 0.3 to 1% of the total weight. Union carbide A-162 is also used as the coupling agent. The Ceramic Polishing liquid is made up of silicon dioxide colloid, which is an alkaline silica sol. The pH value is 9-10. The polished liquid is stored for 14 months.
Technicals of Ceramic Polishing
In the pressed ceramics subgroup, the DE values were significantly higher than in the layering Ceramic Polishing. However, the overall Ra values in C were significantly larger than in P.
The color change of porcelains was statistically evaluated by using a one-way ANOVA and Duncan's test. The results showed that the porcelain groups presented clinically acceptable DE values. The Vita Enamic showed the highest staining potential. The Vitablocs Mark II did not show a color change.
The results indicated that the polishing techniques have a significant effect on the color and roughness of the ceramics. The results showed that the pressed ceramics and layering ceramics subgroups presented different values, which were not statistically significant. However, the subgroup with diamond tip polishing presented the highest DE value. This study showed that the interactions between advanced Ceramic Polishing systems are of great importance.
Bring aesthetic benefits to restorations
Surface treatment may decrease infection control and chairtime. It may also bring aesthetic benefits to restorations. However, more studies are needed to assess clinical and functional behavior. It is essential to further study the effects of surface treatment on the abrasiveness and wear behavior of porcelains.
The effect of surface treatment on the color and roughness in porcelains is still not fully understood. Although some previous studies have studied the interaction between the material and the polishing system, the mechanisms involved in the removal of material are still not fully understood. This is due to the complexity of the interactions between the two. In addition, it is important to determine whether the polishing systems are clinically acceptable.
